Hello, welcome to AkatsukiAntics!

This is a cosplay group where the soul point is to make friends and have fun. Unlike the more professional cosplay groups, this group will not be about photo shoots and perfect cosplays. Not saying that we can’t have photo shoots or perfect cosplays, just that it is not a requirement of this group. We are all about fun, and meeting other cosplayers that live near by.

Here at AkatsukiAntics everyone is invited to join us and no one will be rejected. If you are already in a group you can be in both. There are no mandatory meetings and everyone’s voice will be heard. Meetings to discuss the group will be held in chat rooms, and are not mandatory. If you have an idea for an event, contest, ect, tell us and we will help you set it up. This is basically a group to set up events where cosplayers can cosplay and meet other cosplayers. We're here to have fun!

You don’t have to cosplay any specific character, we are Akatsuki as in red dawn not the villains in Naruto. Members can cosplay who ever they want.

~About Joining:
Everyone is invited to join our group, all I ask is that you place our icon , (: iconAkatsukiAntics : without the spaces), either in your journal or signature and watch our group. To join send me a note titled ~Join~ and I will add you to our list of members. If you don’t have a dA than you can reach me at konangodsangel@aim.com to join. You don’t have to join to participate in our events, they are all public, unless specified, so feel free to come even if you are not a member.

~About Events:
Our base of operation is St. Louis, Missouri, so that’s where all of our events will be held for now. This doesn’t mean that if you don’t live in Missouri you can’t join, just that our events will be held mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. I will always specify the location and time for all our events. Our events will mostly be cosplaying in various locations. We will set up a date and time to meet at a location, like the Zoo, Mall, Park, some random store, the movies, ect., where we will cosplay, take pictures, make friends, hang out, and have a good time. (We ask that you cosplay but as long as you have on something Anime/manga/game related you can come that way. It is more fun if everyone cosplays though.

No events will be mandatory but it will be greatly appreciated if you tell us ahead of time if you will be coming or not. It will give us an idea of how many people to expect at each event.

~Setting Up Events~
If you want to set up an event send me a note titled ~Event~ telling us what you want to do and we will help you set it up.

~Submitting Art Work Or Photos ~
We greatly appreciate Photos from our events so if you are ok with us posting pictures you have taken at our events than send a note titled ~Submit~ with a link to the pictures. You will always receive credit for your work and a link will be added back to the original art work.
We also appreciate any other art work you want to submit as long as it has something to do with cosplay or our group.

Sep,7:

Hello again! Just a quick reminder the 12th is our second event!!! WARNING I’ve changed the time from 4:30pm to 3:30pm!!! But now it should only cost $13 to get in not the original $17 to get in. I suggest you still bring $17 just in case. At 4pm it goes back to being $17.


Emperors Palace Buffet Cosplay Event:
We will be cosplaying at The Emperors Palace, an all you can eat Asian buffet. Although, they have food from all around the world if you are not a fan of Asian food. We will be meeting Saturday September 12 at 3:30 pm, in front of the Emperors Palace’s entrance. We expect everyone who comes to be in COSPLAY. It costs $13 to get in so you will need to bring money if you are coming.

Ok, on to less pressing but still very important matters. I need more help managing our group sights. If anyone feels like helping tell me! All you will be required to do is transfer important info from this sight to one of our other group pages. You can add other stuff to the page if you like but I really need help with keeping all the pages up to date. If you chose to help out note or tell me and I will let you pick a one of our other sight accounts for you to manage. There are 6 accounts, so we need six people. I really appreciate anyone willing to help!

Some group members have suggested we change our group name. If we are going to do so I need suggestions and I will require that every new sight has a separate manager to keep it up to date. The change will only occur if I have managers for the new sights, and everyone or almost everyone in the group agrees with our name change. The change will be final and no further changes will occur after the decision is made.

July 13:

This weekend is Natsu Con! Several of our members are going. I will have a sign asking people to join our group. If you are a member who is going and want to hang out tell me so I can set up a meeting place.

July 3:

Sorry this took so long, but I have finally got the pictures up on Youtube. You can see them at [link] . We will be having another event sometime in July and one in September. You can find information on it on the Event page and I will post a deviation with info when I get around to it. I will post the pictures from our first event here too.

Contests:

Tagline Contest:

This will be AkatsukiAntics first contest!!! Everyone is invited to participate, weather you’re a member or not. The point of this contest is to find our groups tagline. Once the winner is decided their tagline will be added to our groups signature.

Requirements:

Your tagline should include something about cosplay, having fun, and/ or antics. Something to tell people a little about are group and sounds catchy. You may submit up to 3 taglines. Please keep your taglines PG. No cursing, ect.

Dead Line and Judging:

The dead line will be July 1st . Judging will be from July 1st to the 5th. The members of AkatsukiAntics will be the judges of this contest.

Submitting :

Submit your taglines in a note titled ~Contest~ or as a comment on this journal. I will add your entries to this journal for others to see and vote on.

Prizes:

Along with getting your tagline added to our signature you will also receive either a picture of two of the members holding a sign saying Congratulations -Your Name-! You won!, or a drawing of your favorite anime character by .

If anyone else is willing to donate prizes for second and third place I would really appreciate it!

Members are not required to go to any of the events so if you can't go to any of the events you may still join. This will allow people who don't live near St. Louis to still join.
